Therapist

Jennifer Syme trained in Swedish Massage, then Remedial and Sports Massage with the Scottish Schools of Massage. She is a full member of the SMTO (the professional body for massage in Scotland) and the CNHC regulatory body for therapies. More recently she completed a Diploma in Massage for Pregnancy with WellMother. She has herself experienced the benefits of massage on her health and fitness for several years.

Before becoming a Massage Therapist, Jennifer worked in the corporate world as a computer programmer but her interests always lay in complementary therapies, holistic living and environmental concerns.

Coming from the corporate background means that Jennifer knows only too well the stress of deadlines, commuting and finding that elusive work-life balance. The modern work style of sitting at a PC all day also contributes to  back problems, neck/shoulder stiffness, RSI  and headaches, again things which Jennifer has experienced and witnessed at close hand.

Each individual has specific needs and therefore a  generic, one-size-fits-all massage will not give everyone the appropriate treatment. Jennifer adapts each massage to meet your situation using a combination of Deep Tissue, Swedish, and Neuromuscular massage techniques. You can expect the massage to vary from gentle to deep, relaxing to invigorating.

She finds the most rewarding aspect of her Therapies work is when people tell her how much better they feel after their treatment, whether it has been a series of deep tissue massages for muscular injuries from sport, work or general stresses and strains, or a one-off therapeutic massage which has allowed them to totally switch off and feel utterly relaxed.

Jennifer strongly believes that massage forms part of a regular, maintenance routine where everyone can benefit from taking some time for themselves, to promote their own well being and good health.

You can get rid of your muscle aches and pains

with consistent, regular massage therapy.
