
The first stage of pregnancy is mainly associated with hormonal changes, possibly making the mother feel tired, nauseous, breathless and anxious.
It can be an emotionally challenging period, even for a totally planned and much desired pregnancy as there can be worries about miscarriage, doing the 'right' thing and the well-being of the baby.
Massage in the first trimester can be performed but will be gentle and relaxing, incorporating shiatsu, energy work and breathing/visualisation exercises.
The main aim of the sessions will be:
● To relieve anxiety
● To encourage relaxation
● Help reduction of nausea
● Increase energy
● Relieve areas of muscle tension or spasm
● Relieve headaches and breathlessness
● Emotional Support
